Portage Lake Celebrates 80 years!
|
Portage Lake Bible Camp celebrated their 80th anniversary and new dining hall dedication over Labor Day weekend, and the entire experience felt like one big, joy-filled family reunion! The staff worked hard to make sure everyone would have a great time, feel entertained, have meaningful time to worship, and enjoy a heartfelt walk down memory lane. Old photos lined the spaces, stories flowed easily between generations of campers, and a fun photo backdrop in the fireside lounge helped everyone capture new memories to cherish for years to come.

The weekend schedule was absolutely packed—in the best way possible. Laughter broke out over games, skits, pickleball, gaga ball, cornhole, and all kinds of waterfront activities. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a day on the lake, and campers took full advantage with pontoon rides, swimming, lounging in the sand, and playing on the many water toys/inflatables camp offers. They even planned a nighttime zip line ride to see the night’s stars in a new way! Each day was filled with voices raised together, singing all the beloved camp favorites that have echoed through this beautiful camp for decades...
