Kevin & Carla Butcher

I had the opportunity to speak with Kevin Hu, the communications director at Rooted Pastors, and his journey is inspiring. Once a church planter in California, Kevin’s path took a transformative turn when he attended an ECC Mid-Winter Conference. It was there that he met Kevin Butcher, the founder of Rooted. In that moment, as Kevin Butcher wrapped him in one of his famous hugs, Kevin Hu felt an undeniable pull towards mentorship—a desire to replicate that warmth and support.

Understanding the value of guidance and connection in ministry, Kevin pursued a relationship with Butcher and eventually joined forces with him in this remarkable organization dedicated to providing care for pastors. Rooted Ministries offers one-on-one pastoral care, spiritual direction, and mentoring tailored specifically for pastors, church leaders, and their spouses.
