GLC’s Annual Celebration 2025: Save the Date!
May 2-3, 2025 at Camp Mission Meadows, Dewittville, NY
While for some of us January felt like it was several months long, it’s hard to believe that our Annual Celebration is right around the corner! This year’s Celebration will take place at Mission Meadows near Jamestown, NY, May 2-3. We have many exciting things planned for our GLC community.
Friday morning kicks off with breakfast at the camp for those who spent the night or registered to enjoy a meal there. After fueling up, the Ministerium will hold their annual meeting in the morning. The afternoon promises to be packed with wonderful workshop options where you can dive deep into topics that matter most to you. If you’re feeling handy or community-minded, you can also lend a hand with various projects around camp.
As evening rolls in, Camp will host a fantastic banquet followed by a beautiful worship service. We’re honored to have Dr. Mary Hendrickson, the Director of Missional Vitality for the ECC, deliver a message titled Trust and Obey, inspired by Psalm 3:5-6. As tradition goes, we’ll conclude our worship with Communion and hand out white roses—a touching tribute representing lives dedicated to Christ through the loving ministry of our GLC churches along with our pastors and church leaders.
On Saturday morning, we gather again for our Annual Meeting where we’ll celebrate all that God has accomplished in and through our churches over the past year. It’s always uplifting to hear about progress in church planting, missional vitality, leadership development, and outreach efforts. We’ll also discuss recommendations from the Ministry Planning Cycle process as we give thanks for lives transformed by the gospel through Great Lakes Conference ministries. Plus, we’ll review a budget that supports our mission priorities and elect wise individuals—both men and women—who are gifted and spiritually mature to serve on our Conference Board.
So mark your calendars! This is more than just an event; it’s an opportunity to come together as a community rooted in faith and purpose. Let’s celebrate what we’ve built together!
