The highly anticipated Fall Pastor’s Retreat is just around the corner, and you won’t want to miss it. Once again, the Great Lakes Conference is hosting this incredible event at the stunning Maumee Bay Lodge in Ohio. And if you’re not a pastor, but you know one, please encourage them to participate. This year’s speaker is Sanetta Ponton, Pastor of Justice, Advocacy, and Compassion at Metro Community Church in Englewood, New Jersey. Her thought-provoking speaking theme, “The Power of Christ in Your Community.”  Anticipate being enlightened and empowered as you explore the treasures of the Bible and learn from one another. The Power of Christ in Your Community,” promises to challenge and motivate us as we wrestle with the extensive list of challenges facing our local communities. Plan to be refreshed as Sanetta shares how the Bible can inspire us to think differently about living among our neighbors and creating a better community for all.

But another fun workshop is also included! The GLC Administrative Assistant, Jani Gustafson, will be hosting an enjoyable watercolor workshop. Learn to make some useful bookmarks or cards. No experience is necessary, and all the supplies will be provided. This is the perfect opportunity to unleash your creative side and unwind during the retreat.
