DESCRIPTION:A Learning and Equipping Cohort for Mission Advancement \nDates: Jan 30\, Feb 13\, Feb 27\, Mar 13 \nLocation/Time: All four Zoom sessions are from 7:00-8:00pm CST \nCost: None \nRegistration Deadline: January 28\, 2025 \nRegistration: To register your team (or an individual)\, send an e-mail to Peg (Kohring) Cichon pegkohring@gmail.com with contact information:  Name(s)\, Church\, City/State\, e-mail\, phone.  The team (or individual) will receive confirmation of registration and the zoom link for the series. \nWould you like to see more people begin to follow Jesus through your ministry? Join leaders from other GLC churches to strengthen your outreach ministry in a 4-session cohort experience\, “Responding to God’s Call for Your Community” starting January 30\, 2025. \nThe 4 Sessions include: \n\nJanuary 30\, Jody Eidnes and Peg Cichon (Conference Offices) will help you to lay the foundation for reaching out to your community. You will go through a short workbook that can help to prepare your congregation for community outreach. Then you will be shown some of the basics of MissionInsite*\, a demographics program that can help you to understand the unique makeup and needs of your community. Following the session\, a member of your team will be invited to work with Jody to generate a MissionInsite demographic report of your neighborhood or community that you can use to help develop plans for the future.\nFebruary 13\, Alex Rahill II\, Lead Pastor of Life Church Livonia\, will share time-tested outreach ministry techniques (used commonly in church-planting) to connect in meaningful ways with people in your community.\nFebruary 27\, ECC Director of Evangelism\, Iesha Hawley will help you develop skills to talk about Jesus to those in your community.\nDate TBD\, In the last session\, Peg Cichon\, the GLC Vitality Liaison\, will discuss how to use the information from the past three sessions to develop a fall kickoff campaign to reach your community for Christ.\n\nAll four zoom sessions are from 7:00-8:00 pm CST. We recommend that (at a minimum) a member of the pastoral staff and an elected church leader or members of your Outreach Ministry Team (if you have one) participate in this cohort together.  For the MissionInsite* work it helps to have a tech-comfortable person on the team. \n* MissionInsite is a demographic analysis tool that has proven to be remarkably helpful to GLC Churches in understanding their neighbors and developing strategies for connecting with them.  See the website here:  https://www.acstechnologies.com/missioninsite
