COVID-19 UPDATE:

As you may know, all ECC events have been postponed or cancelled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our priority is your safety and wellbeing.  We are currently reviewing next steps as it relates to rescheduling and other events.  Once we have collectively finalized the schedule, we will send out an email with related updates including logistics.

COACH Model for Christian Leaders is a resource that has been used in over 70 countries over the last 20 years.  The ECC is working hard to introduce this coaching model across the denomination because they believe that coaching will be a game changer for us denominationally.

Studies show that training is valuable, but equipping, coupled with coaching, results in a significant increase in fruitfulness in ministry, helps develop leaders, reduces ministry isolation, and provides a level of resourcing and support most pastors and leaders need.

The training is for anyone — pastors or lay leaders — who would like to be a coach to someone else. The content of the Coach Model is not specific to any mission priority, which is what makes this resource such a powerful tool. Thus, it works for Vitality coaches, Church Plant coaches, life coaches, pastors who want to coach lay leaders, lay leaders who want to coach others, etc.

The Great Lakes Conference is being asked to identify some prospective coaches and encourage them to attend. Additionally, people may self-select to go (and should self-select if they think this training would be beneficial).
