In early February, 20 dedicated souls journeyed to Adrian, MI for the GLC Exploring Your Call retreat, which is designed for people discerning whether they are being called by God to deepen lay and pastoral ministry.
The Saturday before Christmas, Pastor Dale Dalman asked if my church could help a young family in Pontiac, MI who desperately needed support. Their situation was heartbreaking: both mother and father had been detained by ICE, leaving three young children—ages 4, 6, and 12—in the care of their aunt and cousin.
