2009 GLC Annual Meeting HighlightsGLC Welcomes Six Churches as Membersby Don Meyer
Board members and officers were installed, an adjusted budget for 2009 was approved, and delegates celebrated numerous stories of how God is at work in local congregations throughout the conference in areas of church development, church planting and outreach initiatives. The churches accepted into membership will be presented during the 124th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Portland, Oregon in June. Sent to ServeSent to Serve is an initiative that Dick Lucco unveiled at the 2009 Annual Meeting that may help churches get started and /or further move ahead in the area of serving their community.Download "Sent to Serve" [pdf] Mekoryuk, Alaska PartnershipAll the conferences will be partnering with a Covenant Church (and its surrounding village) in Alaska to help to improve the living conditions of the pastor and the lives of the people of the village. The village that the GLC will be partnering with is Mekoryuk.

DEWITTVILLE, NY (May 4, 2009) – Six churches were accepted into membership during this past weekend’s annual meeting of the Great Lakes Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, held at Mission Meadows camp on the shores of Chautauqua Lake.
