Helping Churches Start Outreach MinistriesHe has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 Churches Planting Ministries is a Covenant initiative that focuses on congregations reaching out to their neighbors and their community with ministries of compassion and justice. Through this initiative grant money (made up of funds from the conference churches and the denomination) are available for churches who feel called to start up community ministries that reach the “poor and those at risk”. The following are examples of grants that have been awarded in the Great Lakes Conference through Churches Planting Ministries:
Come, you who are blessed by my Father; for I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
